FOR PEACE AND PLANETARY HEALTH: GLOBAL STRATEGY MEETING FOR INTERNATIONAL DECADE OF INDIGENOUS HUMANITARIAN PEACEBUILDING 2025 - 2035
OUR WORK
Al-Hadra School Children's Massacre in Kwalib
The Heiban Children’s Massacre in 2016, the Al-Hadra School Children’s Massacre in Kwalib in June 2025, and the Koma Area Schoolchildren’s Massacre in Kauda on November 29, 2025.
Three massacres were perpetrated against children and students, directly targeted by militias affiliated with the Islamist Movement and the Muslim Brotherhood. These massacres are part of the Port Sudan government’s strategy of ethnic cleansing against the Nuba people. It is worth noting that Koma is not a military zone and there is no military activity there.
We call upon the international community to protect civilians in the Nuba Mountains region and to immediately halt all aerial activity in the area.
